after the snow day

had dinner with one of my class mates today, (i am a second year student in the ODL program) and i am so ready to graduate...... it was fun, talked about the anxieties that we are both having with our papers and how to manage out advisors...... had good conversation also around our commonalities (our being African and all) it was nice.

work was crazy interesting- met a Nigerian couple who run a home health agency.... i guess they are doing good work. always interesting when i meet the peeps, was wrong this time, i was sure that they were our neighbors to the right......

ready to go to sleep right about NOW.... waiting on a call from my friend to talk about one of her papers.....

will continue to keep it real

digging out

so i had to dig myself out this morning, thanks to my neighbor up the road that helped me clear some of it away and the guy who did the front of the house...... my take on this: we are one day closer to the summer time!!!

i am drawing a blank for my final paper, i should have at least seven pages now, and i can't even manage five words! i need a major intervention! HELP

the snow

it is snowing pretty heavily here in Philadelphia, i have already been out to shovel once and i will be finishing up in the morning, so i kinda have to go to work in the morning. i would have loved to have the day off and figure out what i want to do with the snow all over my car.

i had a nice Christmas, headed to NY using "back roads" on Saturday and came back the same way early Sunday morning...... had fun in NY loads of family really a lot.... for someone like me, an African child to be able to comfortably fit like 30 people into what i consider my immediate family is crazy but true...... next year, ibd!!!

come January first i will be making a big life style change, i hope it works out really .............

today in a nut shell

so i have had a week already and i keep thinking today is Thursday....... this week can not end soon enough. i work in a non profit organization and there are days that i am 100% sure that i am crazy for staying in this type of work.

random thoughts of an African child...........
 i live in philly, have brothers and a sister, i have the fun most and at the same time crazies friend. i work in non profit, and go to school, i love to plan events and parties. just had a birthday but i am planning my party next year. looking forward to sharing in community.................................
