the Phone attack:
July heat smacks me right in the face as i get off the plane. it was hot in Lagos but it is hotter in Newark. i turn on my phone, i have a lot of messages. i start listening to the one by one. trying to read my text messages as well.
its interesting how many people call you to find out where you have been. we didn't see you in church, where are you?
as i listen to my message i get a particular one from an old friend. since it sounded urgent, i decide to call back.
hey, how are you? the voice said on the other end. i just came back from Lagos, my friends wedding. it was great. and so the next steps begins and the weirdest months of my life begins
